TermView and Java-Enabled Terminals

 

 

TermView supports terminals that have java-based Graphical User Interface applications by displaying transaction data from the 2x20 display portion of the graphical screen.  TermView (and InSight) get this data from the same sources as the java gui application: 

 

The following is an example of TermView displaying 2x20 data from a SurePos 750 running a Java GUI as the system/operator display.  Note the red javaindicator.  TermView displays this indicator when the java session is the active (on-top) display session at the terminal.

 

 

 

Note that most java applications do not modify the 2x20 display events before displaying them.  Because TermView displays only the data from the original events 2x20 events, it is possible that what TermView displays might not match what is displayed by the Java application.  In this case, what TermView displays is what came from the underlying terminal sales application (.286 or .386) and/or I/O processor.
