When there is a
choice between complicating an agent and complicating a client app,
complicate the agent (actually, complicate the controller agent).
Try to reduce burden on clients as much as possible.

Keep things as
simple as possible.

Be aware that
some customers will be very sensitive to POS Loop/Lan and WAN
bandwidth utilization. Design should minimize data flow where
possible.

While 4690 is
first POS system, non-4690 is likely to follow.
